12 Features we Recently Added to UpViral

12 Features we Recently Added to UpViral

When we said UpViral would be the best viral referral marketing platform you could wish for... we meant it. That's why the whole team is taking massive action every single day to make that happen.

Today I'd like to give you a quick overview of some of the things we've added over the last few weeks.

1 - Getting shared by email

We already had all the major social media platforms (so participants can easily share your campaign on social media). We've now added an email button as well, making it even easier to share your campaign by email with their friends.

This feature can be enabled on the "Reward Points" page in your campaign.

2 - Automatically redirect returning visitors for more shares

When someone who already signed up to your contest or giveaway visits your campaign again, you can now automatically redirect them to your share page. This way they can immediately see the how many people they referred.

In our tests this greatly improved the success of a campaign, as people were more likely to share it multiple times!

This feature can be enabled on the "Advanced Settings" page in your campaign.

3 - Tie UpViral into your own tools thanks to our Callback URL (Advanced Users)

Are you running a giveaway but would you like to give away something else than a digital file or coupon for example? It's now possible to set up a "callback" to your own server. This way UpViral will send a ping to your server every time someone unlocks a reward - so you can use that information at your own end (for example to create an account).

This feature can be enabled on the "Advanced Settings" page in your campaign - more info here.

4 - More results from Pinterest by adding separate images

Obviously it was already possible to control the social media appereance.. but up to recently you could only upload one social media image - meaning the same image was being used for networks like Facebook VS Pinterest.

Not anymore.

You can now upload a separate image just for Pinterest - since the optimal size for Pinterest is different than for Facebook.

5 - Improved template editor

We've recently upgraded our template editor, making it easier to change things. For example, you can now easily drag & drop images into your pages:

6 - Control the amount of emails that are being sent

When running an UpViral campaign, you can easily send out emails to your participants every single time one of their friends sign up.

These kind of emails are great to get them to share more often (e.g. "Congratulations! You only need 3 more people..")

However.. what happens if someone refers 100 people? Before they would get 100 of those emails.

With this new feature you can control how many of those emails are being sent to each participants.

7 - Better fraud detection to prevent fake subscribers

We've added various new filters to detect fake subscribers to UpViral. We made some huge steps forward - but we're not there yet! Lots of improvements on their way.

8 - A much faster experience

Even though we're expecting massive growth, we were overwhelmed with the amount of viral traffic coming in once we started (I guess that's a good problem to have). Because of that, the dashboard was slower than we anticipated...  and I'm happy to report that we've fixed that - the UpViral infrastructure is much, much faster than before - and there should be no reason for it to slow down ever again.

9 - Many new autoresponders added

We want to be "well-connected" as well - meaning we want to integrate with as many tools as possible. Because of that we've added lots of new integrations with various autoresponder. Right now we're integrating with these:

  • Active Campaign
  • ArpReach
  • Aweber
  • Campaign Monitor
  • Constant Contact
  • ConvertKit
  • Drip
  • ECX
  • Genoo
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • Hubspot
  • InfusionSoft
  • MadMini
  • MailChimp
  • Ontraport
  • SalesAutoPilot
  • SendLane
  • SendReach
  • Sendy
  • SG Autorepondeur
  • WebinarJam

Impressive right?

And of course you can use the HTML form as well, making sure that even if yours is not on the list.. it will work 🙂

10 - Integrate without using our HTML form (beta)

When integrating UpViral into your own sites and tools, you have to use our HTML form to make sure the emails are added into our system - and the viral loop can start.

We've just added a beta feature that allows you to use your own opt-in forms... and still use UpViral 🙂

Please note this feature is in beta at this point. If you would like to use it, go to the "Advanced Settings" page and select this option - then follow the video instructions.

11 - Manually edit points

Do you want to manually edit the amount of points of any of your participants? Well, now you can! Simply go to the "Reward Points" page of a specific lead and hit "Edit".

12 - New instruction videos

We've also updated the video guides to help you get started with UpViral. We've broken it down into 13 short and easy to follow videos - so you know exactly which video to look for when you're stuck.

You'll find those videos by clicking on "Quick Start" in your account (top menu).

So... what do you think? Which new feature is your favorite?
